What to Expect on Your First Visit

Consultation
You will sit down and discuss with Dr. Ridgway you health related problems, concerns, as well as your potential options to correct these problems. The consultation is designed to allow Dr. Ridgway to gain information about you including: how your problem started, how your problem is affecting your daily life, and what your goals are related to resolving this problem.

Examination
If Dr. Ridgway decides in your consultation that you are a candidate for treatment, he will provide a complete examination. The examination will focus on your bodies musculoskeletal and neurological systems, and will include reflex testing, range of motion testing, gait analysis, posture, and specific orthopedic tests. Nothing is preformed in our office without your consent.

X-ray Studies
At Purcell Chiropractic we have full plain film radiographic facilities. X- rays will be taken only if Dr. Ridgway believes they are necessary and will provide information that will enable him to better treat your condition. On occasion Dr. Ridgway may order a CT scan or MRI at a separate location if your problem cannot be visualized on plain film x-rays.

Report of Findings
Once Dr. Ridgway has compiled all the information gained from the consultation, examination, and x-rays (if taken), he will provide you a full report of findings. At that time, Dr. Ridgway will discuss with you what is causing your problem and what needs to be done to correct the problem. Dr. Ridgway will make a customized treatment plan based on your condition and your goals for treatment. Our treatment plans are focused on getting your body operating at its best potential and to answer the four most commonly asked questions in our office:

Can you help me?
What do I need to do to get well?
What do I need to do to stay well?
How much is it going to cost to get well?

In the event that we cannot offer the best and most efficient treatment for your condition, Dr. Ridgway and his staff will make sure that we get you to someone who can help you.

Treatment
Patients will generally be treated on the initial visit. This treatment may include spinal adjustments, physical therapy modalities, and/or soft tissue therapies. All of our treatment is interactive with you so you can express any questions you may have and we can ensure you are fully comfortable with the treatment you are receiving.

Payement Options
Purcell Chiropractic strongly believes in the value of quality health care for you and your family and maintains a price structure that allows for care on all budgets. Our office participates in most health insurance plans and accepts patients that have been involved in auto accidents, work injuries, and personal injury cases. For patients that have no insurance or have large deductibles we offer flexible payment programs. Insurance
Most insurance plans are accepted at our office. We accept health insurance (including Medicare), personal injury, workers compensation, and auto accidents. Since there are so many variations in coverage, co-pays, and deductibles with each plan we have a staff member dedicated to insurance verification and billing. We will make every attempt to find out your insurance benefits and your out-of-pocket cost before any procedure is preformed.

No Insurance
For patients without insurance coverage or patients with high deductibles insurance plans, flexible payment programs can be utilized. Most of our patients pay directly for the treatment they need as they realize our care to be extremely cost effective and affordable.
